QUESTION NO.1

Why did British government revert back to the decision of the partition of Bengal and how this decision helped All India Muslim League to change its goals? Justify your answer with five valid points. 

ANSWER:

1905 The unified Bengal region is 189,000 square miles with eighty million inhabitants. Dr Abdul Hameed writes in his book, “Separatism in India”, that  partition is mandatory despite the fact that Curzon has not yet initiated it. A lieutenant governor is having a hard time researching the eastern regions. Most Muslims were subject to corrupt British governance. Before 1905, many proposals for the zoning of Bengal were being worked on, but Lord Curzon decided to put this administrative scheme into practice. East Bengal also became  a majority Muslim  province with 13,000,000 out of 31,000,000. West Bengal is a province with a majority Hindu. The Muslims are very pleased with the partition as it allows them to sell their living conditions. It actually became a refundable possibility. The Muslim network strongly supported him but the Hindus angrily retaliated for saying so from the homeland department. Congress joined the anti-partition movement. They started incitement, violence and boycott of overseas products. The main reason for the Hindu opposition to change was that they had loosened their grip on eastern elements.
